We arrived in Jakarta at 9pm last night and actually got to bed about midnight. Today was a busy day, the only one that we have to explore the city, so it was go go go all day -- an introduction to Jakarta history, a local market, school kids, a music and education group, a view of normal people's lives, a tuk-tuk ride to lunch on Batavia Square, and the National Museum. After a break, we had a welcome cocktail (the main trip starts today, Vietnam was a pre-trip) and then dinner at what used to be an enormous house filled with rooms of all sizes.
