9/13 -- Soccer and More

After breakfast of homemade chocolate chip mickey mouse or blueberry pancakes, we headed off to soccer lessons. Dahlia and Davin were each in their own skill groups, so we split up and traded places a couple times during the hour.

Dahlia's class focused at first on ball control. She was
the only girl and did quite well.

Davin's class started with warm up and stretching exercises.

Then Davin's class moved on to moving the ball,

and Dahlia's class taught a move called an "L shot"
followed by a series of 1 on 1 games where Dahlia
was paired against the coach -- and scored each time.
We brought Dahlia back home and I made a peach crisp while Dahlia read to Jim, and Davin went shopping with his parents. It was a rainy day, so our afternoon activities were indoor-based. Jim and I got to play great card games like Fish and Spider Eights and Cupcake. We also organized our trip packing to leave a large suitcase of stuff behind and only take what we need to Morocco.

We ended the day with a gourmet dinner prepared by Dan: Crab-Stuffed Mushrooms, Steak, Zucchini, and Corn Muffins and polished it off with my peach crisp.
